CSISA is led by the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT) and implemented jointly with the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI).
CIMMYT - the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center – is the global leader on publicly-funded maize and wheat research and related farming systems. CIMMYT leads the CGIAR Research Programs on MAIZE and WHEAT.
The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) seeks sustainable solutions for ending hunger and poverty. IFPRI’s vision of a world free of hunger and malnutrition is based on the human rights to adequate food and freedom from hunger and the recognition of the dignity inherent in all human beings.
The International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) is the world’s premier research organization dedicated to reducing poverty and hunger through rice science; improving the health and welfare of rice farmers and consumers; and protecting the rice-growing environment for future generations.
CSISA-MEA : The USAID Feed the Future (FtF) Bangladesh Cereal Systems Initiatives for South Asia Mechanization Extension Activity (CSISA-MEA) began in October 2019 (5-year project) and is implemented by CIMMYT in partnership with iDE and the Georgia Institute of Technology. The activity works in southern Bangladesh and the Rohingya crisis-impacted zones of Cox’s Bazar district.
IWMI: The International Water Management Institute (IWMI) is an international water management research organization that aims to provide water solutions for sustainable, climate-resilient development.
CSISA-SIS: The CSISA-Soil Intelligence Systems (SIS) initiative launched in 2018 and funded by the BMGF, is being implemented in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, and Odisha in India. SIS supports people in the agriculture sector to make better decisions by providing accurate, spatially referenced digital soil and crop information at a larger scale.
